Open-source backend platform for auth, databases, storage and functions
Firebase
Google's app platform with database, auth, hosting and analytics built in
About Firebase
Firebase is Google's platform for building web and mobile applications without managing your own servers. It bundles Cloud Firestore and Realtime Database, authentication with social sign-in, cloud storage, hosting, Cloud Functions, push messaging, analytics, crash reporting and remote configuration into one console with SDKs for iOS, Android, web and game engines. AI features through Vertex AI and Genkit help add generative experiences to apps. It is the default backend for many startups, indie developers and rapid prototypes. The Spark plan is free with per-product quotas; the Blaze plan keeps those free allowances and charges pay-as-you-go beyond them.
