Solidus is an open-source e-commerce platform built with Ruby on Rails for brands whose stores do not fit off-the-shelf molds. Its fully extensible architecture covers merchandising, a native subscription engine, a powerful promotions system and internationalization, with a starter theme and admin dashboard for launching quickly. Because merchants own the code, the stack can be gradually decoupled and customized without limits as sales grow from launch to billions.
