About Wordfence
Wordfence is a security plugin for WordPress that combines an endpoint firewall with a malware scanner to protect sites from attacks, infections and brute-force login attempts. It monitors traffic, blocks malicious requests, scans core files, themes and plugins for changes and known threats, and adds login security features such as two-factor authentication. More than five million WordPress site owners run it, from small blogs to busy stores that cannot afford downtime or a cleanup bill. The free version is fully usable but receives new firewall rules and malware signatures thirty days late; paid Premium, Care and Response tiers remove that delay and add support.
