Self-hosted, API-first headless CMS with an open-source MIT core
ScribeCrate
Self-hosted transcription, subtitles, and English translation with an OpenAI-compatible API
About ScribeCrate
ScribeCrate is an open-source, self-hosted transcription API that runs on your own hardware: deploy it with Docker on CPU or an NVIDIA GPU and transcribe recordings, generate subtitles and translate speech into English through OpenAI-compatible /v1/audio endpoints powered by faster-whisper. Audio never leaves your server and it can run fully offline with pre-cached models from tiny through large-v3-turbo. Outputs include JSON, text, verbose JSON, SRT and WebVTT, with optional local speaker diarization and SSE streaming of decoded segments.
