Isso

Lightweight self-hosted commenting server, a Disqus alternative

About Isso

Isso is a lightweight commenting server written in Python and JavaScript that website owners self-host as a drop-in replacement for Disqus. Readers comment in Markdown, can edit or delete briefly after posting, and sit in a moderation queue until approved. Comments live in a single SQLite file, Disqus and WordPress imports ease migration, and embedding takes one small JavaScript file. It suits blogs wanting comments without third-party tracking.
