DevPod
Open-source, client-only tool for reproducible dev environments
About DevPod
DevPod creates reproducible developer environments from a devcontainer.json on any backend — a local machine, a Kubernetes cluster, a remote server or a cloud VM — and connects them to your local IDE such as VS Code or the JetBrains suite. It is client-only with no server component to install, supports prebuilds and automatic shutdown of idle machines, and syncs Git and Docker credentials into workspaces.
